Semi marine plywood is another type of plywood which uses special marine ply material to gain waterproof characteristics. Semi marine plywood has a much higher resistance to water as compared to the MR(Moisture-Resistant) Plywood. It can easily handle minor splashes of water.

MR Grade Plywood

The full form of MR in MR grade plywood is moisture-resistant, meaning it can resist moisture with ease. However, it can only resist moisture and not water. Because of its moisture-resistant property, MR grade plywood is the most preferred kind of plywood in hot and humid conditions, mainly in tropical areas.
